About "Shaws Realm: Lumen Frontier"
On the evening of April 25th, representatives from the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (Guangzhou) XR+AI Association and the Dynamic Reconstruction and Applied Meta Studio (DREAMS Lab) were invited to participate in the "Shaws Realm: Lumen Frontier – AI Cultural Festival" 2025 Shaw College AI Cultural Festival, hosted by Shaw-College at The Chinese University of Hong Kong(Shenzhen). Together with teams from numerous universities, faculty, and students, they explored the infinite possibilities of AI and XR (Extended Reality) integration!
This year’s festival, centered on AI technology, featured a theme forum, future-themed talk shows, light-and-shadow performances, and an AI immersive exhibition hall, sparking widespread discussions on how AI empowers daily life and the ethical considerations of future applications.

Immersive Experience Showcase
At the "Phygital Vision Hub" exhibition area, we showcased multiple VR/AR-powered immersive interactive experiences, including intangible cultural heritage-themed volumetric videos, 3D photo frames, and AR interactive products. CUHK-Shenzhen undergraduate and doctoral students eagerly lined up to try the devices, experiencing firsthand the future of blended virtual and physical interactions.

Networking & Exchanges
During the event, representatives from the HKUST(GZ) XR+AI Association engaged in lively discussions with faculty and students, introducing cutting-edge applications of XR technology and AI in education and cultural experiences. The atmosphere was vibrant, with Shaw College’s dean and faculty advisors expressing enthusiasm for potential cross-campus collaborations in the future.

Event Summary & Future Outlook
"Shaws Realm: Lumen Frontier" was not just a technological showcase but also a profound reflection on the future of education and lifestyle.
Moving forward, the HKUST(GZ) XR+AI Association will continue to drive the deep integration of XR and AI, exploring more possibilities for interdisciplinary innovation. We extend our gratitude to CUHK-Shenzhen Shaw College for their tremendous support and look forward to more partners joining us in co-creating an exciting future!
