Charges

【General Rule】

1. It is required to register as a user with the DREAMS online booking system before using the facilities in DREAMS. Authorized users should use the online booking system of DREAMS and abide to the rules of booking of the equipment. The user will be charged for consumables and other running cost of the equipment.
2. There are two types of usage: Equipment usage and Sample testing. Please choose the correct corresponding option.
3. Charging is divided into three tiers based on the user type. Please refer to the following charging schema for details.
4. All equipment is subject to FLOATING pricing, meaning the longer the usage duration, the lower the unit price. The following rates represent the baseline pricing for x1 factor. If a long-term rental (i.e., more than one month) is required, it is advisable to communicate with the laboratory staff in advance.

【Internal User】

1. When applying on the Equipment Sharing Platform, users must select a valid project and paying account belonging to their supervisor. After usage, the administrator will deduct the fee based on the time used, with monthly billing. Corresponding bill will be pushed to their supervisor via the PBMS financial system, and their supervisor will be responsible for payment.
2. If the cost of the borrowed equipment exceeds 10,000 RMB or the borrowing period exceeds one month, an equipment borrowing application form must be completed in advance, signed by the supervisor, and submitted to the laboratory's email address.

【External Users】

1. External users need to register an external user account on the platform, which will be subject to laboratory approval. Only after approval can they make reservations in the system.
2. External users can only use certain equipment specified by the laboratory, while the rest is available only to internal faculty and students. Fees are determined on a case-by-case basis.
3. Before using the equipment or submitting samples for testing, external users must transfer the usage or testing fee to the designated laboratory account via bank transfer. Only after the lab confirms receipt of the payment can the user access the equipment or submit samples for testing. Upon completion, the lab will provide a bill and invoice (if required).
